The aftermath of religious trauma

Religious trauma
Family tension
+3
I offer understanding and support for those healing from religious trauma. Growing up, I was physically forced to attend church, and if I refused, I was disciplined harshly. Those experiences taught me how damaging it can be when faith is used to control rather than uplift. Later in life, I was also targeted and judged by a religious person simply for being bisexual. These experiences have given me a deep empathy for others who’ve been shamed, silenced, or hurt under the guise of religion. I create a safe, judgment-free space where people can process their pain, reclaim their voice, and begin to heal at their own pace.
The search for meaning when purpose feels lost

Self-discovery
There were times in my life when I felt completely untethered, unsure of where I was headed, doubting whether I had anything meaningful to offer the world. I went through phases of chasing achievements, external validation, or whatever seemed like the ‘right’ next step, hoping it would give me a sense of purpose. But it never felt quite right. Eventually, I realized purpose isn’t something you stumble upon in a single moment—it’s something that evolves, shifts, and grows with you. It’s about understanding your values, what truly resonates with you, and how you want to engage with the world. And sometimes, the first step is simply allowing yourself the space to ask questions without pressure to have all the answers right away. Through peer support, I’ve helped others explore what purpose means to them—not as an obligation, but as a process of discovery. If you’re feeling stuck, uncertain, or lost in the "what’s next?" of life, I get it. Let’s take the time to navigate it together.
Breaking free from validation seeking and standing in your worth

Effective decision-making
+4
For years, I noticed a pattern in my life: relationships that didn’t work, family that criticized, jobs that felt unfulfilling, and efforts that seemed invisible. I complained, gave more, hoped people would see my value—but nothing changed. I felt stuck, frustrated, and like a victim. Eventually, I realized that waiting for others to validate me wasn’t the answer. I had to take responsibility for my own goals, dreams, and needs. It was scary because it meant I alone held the power to succeed—or fail. Through reflection and intentional changes, I slowly regained confidence, learned to make choices that served me, and discovered what it truly means to feel in control of my life.
Seniors helping seniors and embracing change
Avery G.
Clarifying purpose
As a senior, I’ve witnessed and adapted to six decades of change: from black-and-white TV to color, from rotary phones to FaceTime, and from handwritten letters to instant texts. We’ve gone from walk-in restaurants to delivery apps, and from friendly cashiers to self-checkout and grocery delivery. I’ve seen the first Mac, iPods, and the dawn of online banking and 401(k)s. We now navigate AI, including ChatGPT, and stream live shows—from real music to AI-generated concerts—yet we remain resilient. Through it all, we’ve proven we can keep up, learn, and thrive. As a Warmer Everyday Expert, my offering is about seniors supporting other seniors: sharing wisdom, embracing constant change, and reminding each other that we are strong, adaptable, and ready for whatever comes next. Let’s show that seniors are not just surviving, but actively shaping and thriving in this ever-evolving world.
Spiritual intuition and purpose alignment support
Teana L.
Coping with meaninglessness
Since childhood I have been connected to my intuition and the spiritual world. I come from a long line of spiritual women and have always been able to see, sense, and simply know things beyond the physical. I have received visions, intuitive “downloads,” and guidance that helped me find meaning, hope, and direction during hard seasons. My gifts include clairvoyance, clairsentience, claircognizance, and card reading, and I pair these with tapping and grounding practices. I have also walked through deconstructing religion and redefining my relationship with spirituality. I believe everyone deserves the space to explore what resonates with their spirit, trust their inner knowing, and choose the path that brings curiosity, joy and understanding.
Finding creative ways to make money and have fun doing it
Coach Ivy L.
For the ones clocking in every day but wondering if this is really the life you want. When work feels unfulfilling, when promotions never come, or when the only thing keeping you there is the pension you’ll collect someday—it’s hard not to wonder if you’re wasting your potential. You see other people building things that excite them, living lives that make sense, and you can’t help but think: Why not me? Maybe you’re curious about starting something of your own but don’t think you have the money to make it happen. Maybe you’re torn between stability and freedom. Or maybe you just need space to admit what you already know—this isn’t working anymore. I’ve been there—starting over, broke but determined, turning what I could do into what I wanted to do. Now I help creative, multi-passionate people find resourceful ways to turn their skills, stories, and hobbies into income streams they never thought possible. You don’t need to have it all together—you just need to start where you are.

Exploring volunteering or social impact work
For the past few years I have been on a path of finding purpose and balance. From moving cities, relocating for jobs and returning to college. While my experience has been anything but linear the path helped me to find more clarity and experiences that brought me to a deeper knowing of myself. Rediscovering your true self and finding your career path
Sami C.
Overcoming self-doubt
When I graduated from college, I had big dreams but didn’t have a clear idea of how to turn them into a career. I spent years in various jobs, unsure of where I truly belonged, but I kept going because I thought “this was what I was supposed to do.” It wasn’t until I embraced my passions, trusted my instincts, and leaned into my faith that I realized my career wasn’t just a job—it was a calling. I spent time in the TV industry, as a writer, and even as a tennis pro, but I never felt fully fulfilled until I began teaching, coaching, and sharing my story. I know what it feels like to wonder if the dreams you have are even possible, or if you’re just wasting time in the wrong role. But I also know that when you get clear on your purpose and take intentional steps, doors open in ways you didn’t expect. Whether you're about to graduate and need direction, considering a career change, or simply wanting a fresh start in a new season of life, I’d love to help you get clear on your path and discover a future that feels exciting and aligned with your true self.

Reinventing your career when you're stuck in the unknown
Andrea B.
I’ve changed careers multiple times across very different industries. Each shift started with the same feeling: stuck, uncertain, and unsure what the next step should be. I have left jobs without a clear plan, faced the silence after being forced to resign, and sat with the fear that I might never find something that felt right. The path was never linear. It involved a lot of false starts, doubt, and days when clarity felt completely out of reach. But through trial, reflection, and learning to listen to what I actually needed, I began to build a different way forward. I used tools like mindset work, personal awareness, and small experiments to create movement. Reinvention didn’t come from figuring everything out. It came from being willing to start where I was and take the next step anyway. Now, I support others who are facing the same stuckness and helping them find traction in the unknown.
Finding meaning in the work you do when asking, "What’s all this for?"
I’ve had roles that looked great on paper with titles, recognition, and fast growth, but they still left me feeling disconnected, unfulfilled, or like something was missing. I’ve changed careers four times in search of clarity, each shift fueled by that quiet inner nudge that said, “This isn’t it.” Through each pivot, I wasn’t chasing status. I was chasing meaning. I wanted to feel aligned, competent, and like my work mattered. What I’ve learned is that purpose doesn’t show up all at once. Instead, it’s built, uncovered, and revealed through small moments of truth, courage, and awareness. If you’re in a role that feels misaligned, or you’re asking, “What am I doing all this for?”, you’re not alone. I help people reconnect with what matters, redefine success, and find clarity when the spark fades. You don’t have to start over to feel purposeful, but you do have to start listening.
How to date without heartache
Edith Y.
A client once told me, “My picker is broken.” She kept dating the same man with a different name—and each time, it ended in heartache. The truth is, I understood exactly how she felt. I wasn’t dating the same guy over and over, but I wasn’t meeting anyone aligned with who I am and what I truly want. I realized I had to redefine what dating meant for me. I stopped dating to find a partner and started going on dates just to have conversations from a place of clarity, not confusion. After working with a dating and relationship coach, I got crystal clear on my values, needs, boundaries, and life purpose. I reconnected with who I am and from that place, dating became something I actually enjoy. Now I help other women do the same: get grounded, get honest, and stop settling. I believe dating doesn’t have to be a cycle of disappointment. It can be a tool for growth, clarity, and connection with others, and with yourself.
Reinventing yourself in a new city
Moving to a new city or country
After graduating college with a degree in TV and Radio Production, I packed up my life in NYC and moved to Los Angeles alone because that’s where dreams in TV are made. I didn’t know a soul, but within 7 days I found a beautiful apartment, bought a car, and landed my first job just around the corner from home. Still, navigating a new city wasn’t easy—and neither was working in TV. I bounced from freelance gigs to temp jobs just to keep the lights on. Eventually I returned to NYC to work for Viacom, then moved back to LA, then Atlanta, and later Nashville. Each time, I had to start over—find housing, build community, and figure life out all over again. It was lonely, uncertain, and at times terrifying. But it also taught me resilience, faith, and how to trust my ability to thrive anywhere. Moving taught me that starting over isn’t failure—it’s proof that you’re strong enough to begin again.
Life in the in-between

Reframing self-worth post-failure
There was a time in my life when everything felt paused. I was between jobs, unsure of my next step, watching others move forward while I sat still. People would say, “Something will come along,” but the waiting felt like slow erosion. My self-worth was tied to progress, and without it, I felt small. I learned how to sit with the discomfort, how to extract meaning from stillness, and how to build a life that didn’t depend on a clear next chapter. I began to ask myself deeper questions about purpose, identity, and what truly mattered.

Overcoming old habits
There was a time when I felt like I was living someone else’s life—following expectations, ignoring my intuition, and dimming my light to fit in. But slowly, I began to listen to the quiet voice within. I started creating space for myself: journaling, surrounding myself with symbols that felt sacred, and letting my creativity guide me. I learned that transformation doesn’t have to be loud—it can be soft, slow, and full of grace. Now, I hold space for others who are ready to shed old layers and step into their truth. Whether you're navigating a shift, healing from burnout, or simply longing to feel more like you, I’m here to walk with you.
Exploring life goals, vision boarding, and shifting your mindset
Micah L.
Creating a vision board
Growing up, I had a bit of a bad attitude. I genuinely believed I was unlucky and that good things just wouldn’t happen to me. I saw other people living lives that felt out of reach, and I assumed I’d always be stuck in a version of life that felt small, stressful, or just meh. That started to shift when I learned about limiting beliefs. I realized I had internalized some deep stories about what I thought I deserved, and that those beliefs were shaping what I did and didn’t go after. Once I began doing intentional work to change those patterns, so much started to change. I landed a job I enjoy, started a career I’m proud of, and cultivated friendships that bring me real joy. These days, people even comment on how “lucky” I am, but I know it’s not just luck. It’s mindset, consistency, and dreaming on purpose. I now spend regular time visualizing, meditating, doing EFT tapping, and creating vision boards that keep me aligned and connected to what I actually want. If you were never taught to dream big or even figure out what you actually want, I’d love to help you take those first steps.

Stress control
Overcoming imposter syndrome
For a long time, I moved through life on autopilot – disconnected, going through the motions, unsure of what I was really feeling and being eager to push everything down with distractions. I used escapism as a way to ignore my big feelings, never sitting still enough to let them enter my waking thoughts. But these feelings never go away when you ignore them. They are always there just under the surface, waiting to come up at the worst possible moment in the worst possible way. Mine always erupted in anger and I lashed out at people closest to me. The noise in my head never quieted down until I took my first hike. In those 4hrs, I felt a peace that I had never felt before. My mind, body & spirit was renewed and I felt like a brand new person. Hiking quickly became my therapy as I did the work of coming back to myself and recognizing when I needed breaks instead of staying in GO-mode all the time. Along the way, I became someone that others turned to during their own periods of distress.

Mindfulness techniques
I’ve lived with a rare form of vasculitis for the past six years, and it’s impacted nearly every part of my life—my body, my career, my role as a parent, and even my sense of identity. The hardest part hasn’t just been the symptoms or treatments—it’s the loneliness. For a long time, it felt like no one could truly understand what I was going through. I had to pause and reimagine what “normal” looked like for me. I went from trying to push through everything to learning how to slow down and take care of myself, not just physically but emotionally. Along the way, I’ve become more grounded and more grateful. I’ve shared my journey with friends and family who are just beginning their own diagnoses, and it's reminded me how powerful connection can be. I’m a better partner and father because of what I’ve lived through. I’m still managing my condition every day—but I’m also thriving, and I’d love to help someone else feel a little less alone on their path.
Getting unstuck from “what’s next?” moments

Identifying personal values
I’ve hit the 'stuck' phase more than once—feeling like I was spinning my wheels, craving change, but unsure what direction to go. I used to think I needed to have a five-year plan or a perfectly clear vision before I could make a move. Turns out, I just needed to start asking better questions and be willing to take small, brave steps. Through journaling, coaching, reflection, and trial-and-error, I learned how to listen to my inner voice instead of outside noise. I got clear on my values and how I wanted to feel in my next chapter—not just what title I wanted. If you’re feeling restless, unsure, or stuck at a crossroads, I’d love to help you sort through the noise and get back to clarity.
