Rediscovering who you are after narcissistic abuse

Trauma
+3
I grew up in a very dysfunctional and narcissistic family system filled with abuse, control, and manipulation. I had to learn to hide my true identity to survive within that chaos and dysfunction. Due to that, I found myself in a very abusive relationship with a man for 7 years. I lost everything from both walking away from my narcissistic family and my abusive boyfriend. I thought he was my savior, the one who would save me from my family, but he ended up being my destroyer in the end. After I lost everything, I had to learn how to slowly rebuild my life and shed who I thought I was. It was the most isolating and nerve-racking time of my life. I felt so deeply alone, but then I regained hope, hope for a better life and a better future. A life centered on who I authentically am. I will provide a safe, compassionate, judgment-free zone for you to process your own experiences. It is my honor to guide you on your own journey; you're not alone, and you matter. I hope to meet you soon.
Surviving the unimaginable
Resilience
I have survived the unimaginable throughout my entire life, from growing up in a narcissistic family system, having an abusive relationship of 7 years, abusive parents, 4 deaths in my family, my uncle committing suicide, losing everything, and rebuilding my life. I often felt like I was cursed. I had to learn how to rebuild my identity and life from scratch. I had to reconnect with who I truly am. I experienced grief, trauma, and loss that felt unimaginable and unsurvivable, but little by little, I slowly pulled myself out of that darkness. I found a renewed sense of hope, and I found my self-worth again. I will create a safe and compassionate space for you to process your own grief/trauma/loss. You're not alone. I will guide you on your own journey, and I will be the lighthouse for you. There is life and joy after unimaginable grief/trauma/loss, and I will help you find it again. You matter. I hope to meet you soon! "What is to give light must endure burning" - Viktor Frankl.
Focused body doubling sessions for studying and getting things done

Focus

In this season of my life, as I return to school, I've come to appreciate the incredible benefits of body doubling. While I’ve generally been able to focus, I find that having another person alongside me makes the tasks feel lighter and more manageable. It’s a unique experience where we can share our energy, encourage one another, and stay on track together. I’ve discovered that this simple practice can elevate our productivity and motivation, making studying, chores, or even mundane tasks feel more engaging and supported. This newfound appreciation inspires me to offer body doubling sessions—creating a space where we can connect and thrive while we work toward our goals, whether that involves some soothing lofi music or regular check-ins for accountability.

I was faced with making a decision about an unexpected pregnancy twice in my life. Once at 17 and again at 25. The circumstances were different each time. At 17, my parents chose for me and at 25, I had to go through my own process to choose what was best for me. Both times, the choice was to terminate the pregnancy. It was the right decision for me each time. Both experiences had significant influence on my life and choices moving forward. I had to go through different grieving and healing processes for each termination. One thing I would have benefited from is someone to talk to who had been there.
Finding your holiday spirit when you're feeling the holiday blues
Laura K.
For a long time, I have been stuck on autopilot, feeling disconnected, just going through the motions. Starting therapy helped me uncover what I'd been avoiding and begin the slow work of coming back to myself. I rediscovered the joy in simplicity - meaningful friendships, creativity, time outdoors, and working hard - and started to feel grounded again. Along the way, I became someone others turned to during their periods of change. Whatever you are feeling, I can help you work through it, and we can find a path forward to help you find joy in this holiday season. Let's take some time to help you navigate your way back.
