I, like many others, had to restart my life in 2020. A relationship I thought would be forever ended. I moved. I lost some friends. I lost a job. I downgraded living situations and had to put a lot of things, physically and emotionally, aside to survive. My performance at work didn't falter, but it was taking everything I had to get through basic steps of working and taking care of myself. I started therapy to at least find tools to help me put emotions aside at work and compartmentalize. I have since learned so much about surviving versus thriving, working through emotions, and yes, organizing my days and goals so everything in Life is a lot more manageable. I learned there is no magic wand to make problems go away, but there are so many tools and ways to plan and soundboard things so that it suddenly, one day, feels manageable. Step by step. I would love to be able to help others sort through all the pieces, or just be a virtual shoulder to lean on as we sort through it or talk.
