I’m a single mom of three daughters and one adult son. I have experienced extensive trauma throughout my childhood and well into my adult years. My 15 year marriage ended in a sudden divorce, and I experienced the pain and breaking that comes when your life falls apart in ways you didn't choose.
Divorce shook me to my core. I had to find myself again and learn how to stop abandoning myself just to keep the peace and survive. I’ve walked through grief, shame, co-parenting struggles, chronic health issues, depression, anxiety, and the quiet and lonely exhaustion of trying to hold it all together. I also have experience with addiction and recovery. For a time, I coped in ways that numbed the pain with alcohol and other destructive patterns that kept me stuck. Over time, I’ve learned how to heal in gentler, healthier ways. I’m a trauma recovery coach and former mental health nurse—but most of all, I’m someone who knows what it means to rebuild your life from the inside out.
