I was married for 12 years before my wife and I decided to consciously decouple. Whether it was navigating, money, sex or kids, we had many conversations over the years before we finally decided we would grow more and be happier if we separated. Midway through our marriage, we also separated for a period of four months before deciding to get back together. In these ways and others, I have experience in working intently with a partner through thick and thin before eventually deciding to part ways for the good of both of us.
