Grief shaped me in ways I didn’t understand for a long time. I lost my mother when I was seven and my father at twelve. I learned to survive by staying busy and keeping sadness at arm’s length, not realizing how much energy it took to hold everything in. When I finally slowed down, I was afraid of what would happen if I let grief in. What I found was that it wasn’t trying to break me. It was trying to bring me back to what mattered, and to parts of myself I had left behind. That’s what I offer now: a space where grief can unfold in its own time, without rushing or fixing, and where all of you is welcome.
