I am a small business owner from Southern California. About ten years ago, I was diagnosed with an STI that will remain with me for the rest of my life. The weeks and months immediately after that were a blur of confusion, sadness and self-doubt. I felt that I couldn’t confide in my friends or family due to the stigma around the topic.
