My name is Chelle, aka Shell. I'm 51 years old and have been a reunited adoptee since age 24. I know my entire biological family and formed close relationships over time but we also went through many ups and downs. Also, I got divorced at age 47 and attended graduate school. I have a masters degree and currently in midst of switching career paths from sales most my life to becoming a teacher and school counselor. I have facilitated Grief Recovery for many years. Both of my adoptive parents who raised me died in 2008. My dog died one month before my divorce in 2021. I also survived an apartment building fire in 2023. I have learned how to cope with challenges, especially losses and always come back stronger.
