Being alone in a big city without a car is a huge challenge. I was at a different point in my life. It is different now, not only do I not have a car or a job, I am feeling like I have no purpose and I am almost 60. The dark place of 'everyone else has but I don't', started to set in. Deep thoughts about what I did or didn't do, regrets, so I went down a rabbit hole into depression. Moving can take a toll on you in many ways. I have personally moved over 6 times since 2020, and downsized the 3000 square foot home down to a 5X10 storage. There are groups on Facebook and Meetup, and other ways to meet people I haven't explored yet. There are many ways to find groups to connect with.
